Llenquimau Park

"Some years ago the Gysling Mijac family arrived to this wonderful place at the foot of the Yates Volcano, with an incredible evergreen forest full of lost places that the legends told by the "old" settlers excited them to explore: the Stone Bridge, the Giant Larch, the Nalcas Forest, the Centennial Lenga, El Tayo, El Mono Picota, ... It took them several years and a lot of work to find some of these treasures and by exploring, they created a network of trails that go from the multiflora forests at sea level, to the Lenga forests at high altitude and the millenary Alerces, in the high mountains. Rivers, lagoons, waterfalls, peat bogs and a mountain glacier with eternal ice form an incredible ecosystem. The invitation is to walk these trails, to be surprised by the sounds of the forest and to learn about a nature that we want to protect and recover. Self-guided trails: A. Médano Circuit Distance 6,0 km; Time 5:00 hr; Ascent 370 m; Max altitude 530 masl; Difficulty Medium". This is a full day exploration, combining navigation, horses, local culture and the magic of the river. Undoubtedly a unique experience in the Puelo Profundo.
